  • On 1st January 2013, AAS were appointed by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), as their representative agent in Malta, to provide DNPS clients with the following bunker fuel support services:

    Fuel Quality Testing, technical advisory services on bunker fuel quality and provide in-house management advice of on-board bunker fuels.

    Bunker Quantity Surveys are carried out to ensure that the right quantity of bunker fuels were delivered on board.

    Sampling of Bunker Fuels to ensure representative samples of the bunker fuels delivered on board.

  • AAS are also the appointed representatives for ELLSI in Malta. ELSSI are a major service provider to the international shipping industry whereby the collection and testing of drug and alcohol samples are concerned.

    The relationship with Intertek goes a long way well before the inception of AAS, when the founder of AAS (Mr.Aldo Abela) was personally known to Intertek, due to his past involvement in the petroleum inspection industry.

    Since then Intertek went through a re-engineering process and currently AAS is in the process of signing a number of representation agreements mainly with the Government and Trade Services Section which involves pre-shipment inspection of goods and with the Cargo Inspection Services Section which focuses on petroleum cargo inspection, tank calibration, sampling and bunker surveys.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility - Puttinu Cares Event

    As part of its corporate social responsibility AAS recently sponsored an Olympic trap competition in aid of Puttinu Cares, which is a non-profit children's cancer support group.
